EMP—The Wave of the Future
    From Fireball Cybernetics

It's about time someone brought these highly effective weapons to the corporate security market. They've been around since the turn of the century, but have taken on a whole new dimension of value with the widespread use of cybernetics.

We at Fireball Cybernetics, Weaponry Division, are therefore happy to announce the first line of commercially available EMP weaponry for personnel and site defense.

[For those who don't know, EMP stands for Electro-Magnetic Pulse. They frag with electronics, which is why they are so good at messing with cyberware.]---Einstein

These weapons have earned the nickname "NeuroCooker" for its effects on targets with neural hardware. Their official designation is RW, or Radiation Weapon.

[This is some scary stuff man. How are you supposed to defend against this stuff?]---Ajakira

[Read on. You'll see.]---The Capitalist

RW-01 Pineapple

The first in, and possibly most effective weapon in the Neurocooker series, the Pineapple is an EMP grenade guaranteed to disable any cyberware or unshielded electronics within 10 meters of the explosion radius, or we will send you a replacement and a 500 nuyen gift certificate redeemable at any Fireball Cybernetics Clinic.

Three different varieties are available. The mini-, the standard, and the personal defense model, which is designed after the current fashions in cufflinks and rings.

Standard- 300*
Mini- 350
PD- 425

*all prices in the UCAS nuyen. Prices good only for Boston, UCAS. Prices may vary in other locations.

[Of course, if the grenade doesn't work, the chances are good that you won't be alive to collect that wonderful gift certificate. Even if you do, what Shadowrunner is going to try to collect?]---The Capitalist

RW-02 Dagger
This personal hand weapon is a favorite of corporate personnel directors and people who often deal with violent, cybered individuals.

Designed in bracer or holdout style, this one shot weapon drains its batteries to produce a powerful Electro-magnetic pulse.
[A favorite amongst bounty hunters as well---completely disable you targets superhuman abilities, and without exposing themselves. I like it too.]---The Capitalist

[Oh.]---Forrest

RW-02-250

[Who would want this? It's more expensive and less effective than a grenade.]---Ajakira

[Guys with cyberware. Want to have the effectiveness of a grenade, but not toast his own cyber.]---Capitalist

[Plus people who feel uncomfortable with the word "grenade".]---The Capitalist

RW-03 Glamdring

A step up in power from the Dagger, the Glamdring offers extra power and three shots before another battery pack is required.

[I have my doubts about this. Why not just shoot the bastard with an old-tech gun?]---Ajakira
[Lot's of reason. Just think about it, and you'll realize why.]---Alexander the Grape

[Alexander the Grape? What kind of name is that.]---Ajakira

[Shut-up]---Alexander the Grape

RW-03 – 1005

RW-04 Rad-Rifle

The Rad Rifle, as the name suggests, is a EMP weapon quite similar to the rifle in both design, and increase in power and range over pistols. Its burst strength is nearly twice that of the Glamdring. The batteries contain enough juice for 4 shots before replacement is necessary. The range is comparable to the average assault rifle. A must for anyone who needs to work from a distance.

RW-05 10,000

[I tested this model out during a run. The specifics aren't important, so I'll get to the point. Some part was defective, so that the blast didn't hit the target---it hit me. Not with the full force, luckily, but enough too completely ruin every piece of cyber above my waist. Cost me 600,000 to get it. Make sure it works before you pull the trigger]---Unlucky Punk

[That's why Allah made magicians]---Einstein

[Smartass.]---Unlucky Punk

RW-05 Penetrator

The Penetrator is a bazooka-style weapon designed to penetrate light to medium radiation shielding with great effect. Requires an external power source or the backpack power plant that comes separately.

Penetrator 15,000
Power Plant 5,000

[I saw this in action once. The guy plugged it into his car power plant & started blasting away with it. Disabled an entire security team with it with only one casualty. One guy had a cybernetic heart, we learned later, and died before he could get to a clinic. Other than that, a perfect run.]---EMP Fan

[Hey, I just noticed that they haven't offered power sources for the rest of the weapons!! What's up!!]---Ajakira

[I love this part. They run on standard AA battery packs. I was amazed. Just buy a set, slip them in, and your set. I kinda wish they would have made high-capacity batteries for better performance, but the complete conveince—anytime you need a reload, go to the closest hardware store and buy it. Great plausible deniability too. "Officer, I was just using them to power my boombox. What's an Imp weapon, sir??"]---Nenner01

RW-06 Mongoose

A vehicle based weapon, the power of the blasts takes it above and beyond disabling cybered targets or EMP armored vehicle. The weapon allows the crippling of unprotected buildings, military vehicles, and actually poses health hazards for pregnant women and people who regularly work around radiation. Because of its capabilities, the Mongoose is restricted under UCAS law.

Mongoose 300,000

[What, no witty commentary?]---anon

RCM-01 Shield

The Shield is the first Radiation CounterMeasure on the market. Available at 3 levels: wood, bronze, and iron, each provide an increasing amount of protection from EMP bursts. The shielding itself is only one part of a service package that includes yearly maintenance and bi-annual replacement of the shielding plates. A special level of service- Titanium level- comes with an absolute guarantee that any cyberware damaged or destroyed by any EMP weapon of equal or lesser in power to the RW-05, will be replaced free of charge, and its value reimbursed to the holder. The only caveat is that the shielding must have been maintained according to the standard maintenance schedule.

Wood 10,000*
Bronze 15,000
Iron 25,000
Titanium 100,000
Annual Maintenance Checkup 2,500
Biannual replacement 5,000

[Pricey, pricey, pricey]---The Capitalist

[But well worth it, in my opinion. A lot more expensive to replace all your cyber.]---Unlucky Punk
